Support for success in challenging times
As human beings, most of us are challenged by change. Whether change is anticipated or unexpected, it often requires us to rethink old perspectives, and to develop new approaches. My aim as a therapist is to work collaboratively with clients who are experiencing difficult changes and transitions.
I strive to balance the use of listening and support with actively offering ideas and strategies for clients to consider.
Since every client's needs are unique, I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. With 30 years of experience in the field, I am able to tailor the work to fit each individual's concerns, preferences and goals.
While acknowledging the influence of the past can be helpful, I believe that counseling must also focus on building strategies for moving forward.
In addition to helping clients reach their counseling goals, I strive to offer them personal and interpersonal tools that will continue to be useful to them long after their work with me is complete.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
